Why I admire wary

Wow! You’re work is so incredibly vivid. Your use of color and space would indicate you know a great deal about art. From your website I read that you had only taken one drawing class. Well, you coulda fooled me. Nonetheless I have posted several of your pieces as my faves on flickr… I hope you continue to make these beautiful bright pieces of light.

And I’m kinda hoping you’ll have pictures to bring back with you and perhaps post for our viewing pleasure! When you get back please do tell, and I will make it a point to come out to Costa Mesa for a cup o joe! Sounds like an adventure in the making already! I’ve been meaning to get out that way and check things out…

This woman knows from cafes. And that’s more than I can say, in that I guess I know there’s a greasy spoon down the road or the like.

Why I admire Brian Greene

A few years ago I was channel surfing and saw The Elegant universe NOVA Series on PBS. I had read the book quite a few times and was astonished and silly-happy to see this documentary. I watched with intrigue and fascination. Listened to all the interviews, the dialogues, and watched the graphics as sexy and profound as anything I’d ever seen before. Bet you never thought physics could be sexy could you? Brian Greene speaks in laymen’s terms, not wordy, incomprehensible mumbo-jumbo. He represents physics in such a way that anyone and everyone can understand it’s implications. He makes science, particularly string theory and cosmology a cool thing to learn. It is cool. Imagine sitting there having a conversation about Calabi-Yau Manifolds and the 11th dimension. Makes you imagine the what-ifs, the possibilities… Brane rangeing if you will… Anyway I admire Brian Greene for being a fearless reprentative of a theory some would say borders meta physics…

I quote Agent K from the film “Men in Black”, “1500 years ago, everybody “knew” that the earth was the center of the universe. 500 years ago, everybody “knew” that the earth was flat. And 15 minutes ago, you “knew” that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you’ll “know” tomorrow. ”.... Imagine that…
